Hurricane Mk.IIb
Many thanks to Serval for hosting! The template is basically the same as my Mk.I template, but changed to make the 12-gun Hurribomber.
The template comes with masking layer and a “where’s what” layer for the inexperienced skinner. Lines and rivets are redrawn from actual planes. I owe a big thank to Sparty for his scale plans and _79_Manilow for his reference photos. I would also like to thank Capt. Farrell for his wonderfully clear and concise skins that served as a starting point for this template and FBS for his wonderful internals.
The template include RAF standard early and late ETO schemes, RAF desert paint and SEAC scheme and RAF A- and C-roundels, as well as SEAC markings

Your templates are a masterclass in how it should be done in my opinion. I am studying them to see how I can try and achieve the same realistic finishes, although I am relatively new to starting from scratch having only tinkered with stock paint schemes until now and being dissatisfied by the results. Seeing your results from building layer upon layer it is obvious to me now where I was going wrong, alla prima just doesn't work. Many thanks. Tzacol |
