Btw, don't know if you wanted to represent French soldiers in the background, but these on the photo are British (or US ?), poor French "Poilus" in the trenches looked like that :

By the way, nobody mentioned it before but the name of the plane is evidently not "Le De Boches" but "Le Parfum De Boches" (i.e. "The smell of Krauts"!).

I thought about it and my interpretation was rather like Gaël's: I was thinking of "Le Gazeur de Boches" or "Le tueur de Boches". Le parfum de boches seems a bit weird for some reason...
