McDonnell Douglas F-4G Phantom II Wild Weasel 52nd Fighter Wing
This F-4G was to be the only 52nd Fighter Wing Wild Weasel lost during operation desert storm/shield. It crashed on the 18th of Januari 1991 after running out of fuel when it missed the orbit of the tanker. As there was not enough fuel for another attempt to join up with the tanker the pilot decided to divert to Al Kharj Airbase in Saudi Arabia. However heavy construction equipment had taken out the bases runway lights and dense fog obscured the view of the runway. The crew then decided to eject which they both survived. The machine bellied in near the airfield and had to be written of. Sensitive equipment was removed and the remainder of the machine was buried.

The machine in which (then) Lt. Randy Cunningham and his RIO Lt. (JG) Willie Driscoll shot down three MiG-17's in quick succesion which would make them both the only Navy Aces in the Vietnam war. Showtime 100 was lost on the way back sadly when it was hit by a SAM and Cunningham and Driscoll ejected to be rescued quickly. "Showtime 100", as its callsign was, went on to become perhaps the most popular aircraft in the history of scale model building and Cunningham went on to become a congressman.

If you read up from the last post you will see F-4G's and F-4E's from various Air National Guard and USAF(E) Units

Some of these are online at a italian publisher, if you are serious about buying them I can get you links

@Jester: The Sundowners never flew the F-4J unfortunately only the B and versions developed from that. I would have to rework the nozzles etc. a lot to make it into a B. When I finish my F-16C I might go over these again and make you your VF-111 B

Hey supah, really like your Phantoms, like santynus says the navy birds are top draw.

I saw a F4 on the web once tried to find it again but no? It was of an RAF Phantom at a air show with the old U.S. roundel on it blue disk, white star and red disk, saying Continental Air Force. If I can find it again, I'll put it on here. It really looks the part.

Hi SunDog! I am looking forward to the images! I intend to do the Royal Navy and Royal Airforce machines one day so any image of special paintscheme's would be most welcome
