Autobahn Einsatz
Here's a diorama I am currently working on;
It represents Luftwaffe jets getting ready for attacking the Rhine bridges to try to stop US army advance into the heart of the homeland.
It's scale 1:72, and the models are quite old, not sure what brands, the Me 262 is the matchbox release from the 80's.
I'll redo the bombs paintwork for sure and clean up the aircraft paintwork a bit as well, like the arado canopy rivets and open up all canopies on all jets.
The autobahn viaduct is cardboard, the road is fine sandpaper. I'll still have a lot of work on it, like marking and weathering the road and the grass; it still looks too pristine. Have to drw is the concrete autobahn slabs. I'm experimenting with powders to create realistic weathering on this diorama.
I am currently looking for traffic and road signs and markings of german autobahn, does anyone have a clue to how his looked?

Re: Autobahn Einsatz
Diorama looking really very good! re the road signs,im pretty sure that by that stage of the war they would have been removed,so as not to aid the enemy.
