Good choice of subject! I always loved the mirage IV Too bad I never saw one operational IRL Might I give you one hint? Add way more shadows and highlights to your work, at the moment the look a bit flat, especially the mirage.

I was expecting that answer and indeed you're right. It seems I'm afraid of putting too much shading/lighting. As for the Mirage IV, it's done with shading but no highlighting at all: I wanted to test what that would give.

I'm glad you like the subject: I'll mostly be doing French aircraft in the future.

Well if you work on seperate layers you can always delete the layer if you don't like the result Good to hear about mostly working on french machines, we don't get to see them a lot here I may be doing a series of mirages 3/5/F-1's in the future, midn helping me out with some research?

    nice work gamary
    your subject are very interesting

I like so much your Curtiss Hawk 75

don't worry to use so much shadows and highlighting... use more layers with shadows and highlight you can delete them when you want if the artwork look strange

    Re: Newcomer

@ Supah: What exactly do you need? I've gathered a few blueprints and walkarounds for most French aircraft (especially since 1945), but I still need more for most, especially the F.1. Mail me at gaetaniusmarii(AT)yahoo(DOT)fr to tell me what you have and what you need and I'll see what I can dig up. My internet access is irregular so don't worry if my reply is a bit late.

@Santynus: glad you like it. This is the third "upgrade" on my H75 model. I still need to reinforce the shading. I should also add the shadows cast by the canopy framing on the rear cockpit section. I should add some stenciling. All of this will come in v4.0 when ready.

Beautiful work mate. The detail on the hawk 75 is sweet.
I'm glad there's still interest in this kite as she's one of my favourites.
    Keep em coming!

    Re: Newcomer

Thanks to all for your comments, which are all helpful. I'll try to remember about the images next time: thanks for pointing it out. I have a technical question BTW:

Does anybody know how to copy a GROUP of layers in Photoshop? I've been using Select All/Copy/Paste until now and then repeating the process for every layer, but that is time consuming when I've updated a profile template and want to "update" all of my drawings.

By changing the shading layer from 60% to 90% opacity, this is the new result I've obtained. Does this seem enough?

However, the recce pod needs some rework on the shading in the configuration.
