Sorry, I've been sick and out of touch. I'll try to collect my stuff and send on Sunday. The thing is, I have very irregular web access. That also complicates things.
My local public library has a story of the NN by J. Courri?re, which is not very good but includes some pictures. I can scan them and send them to you if you want me to.
Well... thank you. You should at least wait for my mail!

Working on it right now.Don't have that many results yet. I think most of what I know of the NN comes from that book I mentioned. I'll zip and mail it when complete. I'll probably need to go get that book though. The rest will be scans, which may take a tad longer.
Some links I've found:
Cocardes Models - Montages maquettes 1/72e - Yak-3 Hasegawa
Cocardes is specialized in French modelling. Might be helpful.
Cocardes Models - Chasseurs ? h?lice - Yakovlev Yak-3 Normandie-Niemen
This has colour pics of the Yak-3s brought back to France. Shoul be useful.

The French volunteer regiment aircraft were invariably painted with Grey and Grey-Green uppersurfaces over Light Blue undersurfaces. The NN was the only squadron to carry an arrow across its fuselage. The first squadron had a white arrow and the second one a yellow one. The French also used painted Balkenkreuzes behind and below the canopy to indicate victories, an unusual practice in the VVS.

You probably already knew this, but just in case... I also have a few other pics found here and there if you still need the material.
