    the old biplane

    wat kind of tarp was used on the old biplanes,
    did they use some type of chemical to make it tough.

    Just one answer? I take it you're referring to the fabric covering used on airplanes used before, during and after WW1? I think you could spend hours reading documentation on all the different types of fabric, fabric covering, and coating methods.
    Just a for instance, you could go into depth about 1 particular plane and how it was covered and finished, see here-

    I think you would find that the British, French and Germans all had slightly different standards and that those standards changes as practices were refined.

    i guess everyone has there favorite mine has always been
    ww1 era, i guess to me they had style, and brass lol.....
