Grabbed a WACOM Graphire this weekend.

It feels very clumsy right now, like the first time I ever used a mouse. It appears to have vast potential however. Any tips?

    neg practice is the key

(I remember the first time I was using a tablet, it was exactly the same what you're describing but once you get used to it you'll never ever touch a mouse again for texturing. )

Hey congrats on the buy. I've been using my WACOM now for years, I can't recall how many, maybe 4 or 5.

You can get acquainted with the tablet pretty well just by opening up a blank canvas and scribbling. I scribbled for hours, which eventually turned into little drawings as I went. This helped me learn pretty quickly the feel for the pen stylus.

Make sure you have it in the absolute mode.
So, if you touch a place that the mousecursor moves to that same spot on the screen.
    That said, follow adlabs advice.
