joystick

looking for a good joystick for
sims like blazing angels, il2,and a couple more newer type games
all i got right now is a saitek 290 pro
and i cant get it to work the way i want it to on
some of these games,
any suggestions..like to have something where i can have full control

I've got my old Saitek X45 which is still going strong. However, I've also had good results with the programming software for my Logitech Wingman stick, but there have been reliability issues with them. Often they spike or don't register the full scale of movement. But I should mention, Logitech quality may be different today, I bought all of my sticks about 3 to 5 years ago now.
