    Wow!!

Just walked outside the building during lunch break and looked up and saw a F7F TIGERCAT performing aerobatics about 1/2 a mile away He then made a sweeping turn and flew right overhead at about 1000ft!!

Looked stunning and sounded great. Very suprised to see such a rare bird on a Tuesday lunch time. Below is a pic of the very plane I have just seen

    Re: Wow!!

    Nice
I saw a video of a P-38 crashing on my squads forum the other day. Very sad
Never seen a P-38 so far. Wishing for that, even though it just a fake Fokker G-1
I'm also hoping to see the Lanc flying. This year I did not attend to the airshow here due to too little time and the distance (every year another airbase). And guess who attended there?....

Hmmmm... well you guys should consider yourself lucky, since the first airshow in here was in 1994 and the last was in 1996. We can't afford to held another until God knows when

    Re: Wow!!

I keep meaning to ask, but where abouts in the world are you Aero??

Serval, if you want to see all the big Warbirds the place to go is the Flying Legends show at Duxford. Planes from all over the world fly in for it and if its a piston engined warbird and flying, chances are that its there. Its only down the road from where I live and i'm sure there are organised trips from Holland. If you want to make a weekend of it and call in and say hi, your more than welcome Next one is June or July 2006.

    Indonesia

Hmm well, I think it's a far bigger chance for me for having a tour at Duxford, Le Bourget etc than seeing another airshow in here for the next ten years

    ...easier said than done though

    Re: Wow!!

I've been there some 5 or 6 years ago. So, I saw the LAnc in the museum there, but I'd love to see it flying.
    Sure want to go again.
