That's very nice indeed. What amazes me about you guys that do the German WWII gear is that you never seem to run out of colour schemes! I've seen more variety on this site than I have in years of pouring over aviation books.

I guess they were inspired by RAF camo style: I'm a bit surprised by it! Of course, if I knew something about Luftwaffe camo, it would help.![]()
Well I don't know if the RAF camo had anything to do it seeing that Luftwaffe used similar colors when RAF still painted their aircraft silver![]()
By the end of the war, two things dictated the painting of fighters - ground concealment and speed of manufacture. With fewer colors and fewer layers you could have the fighter finished sooner. Darker colors would cover the now unprimed surfaces better and give better ground concealment. Few aircrafts were delivered in this extreme scheme though! (Notice that even the underside of the fuselage is in the same color, RLM76 only being used on parts of the wings coming from subcontractors...
