Faith in Wikipedia...
I was looking for info on Emile Dewoitine and saw the Wikipedia article.
I couldn't believe my eyes. Not only is that article defamatory, it barely mentions the importance of the man as an aeronautical engineer. And when it does, it's completely wrong (confusing words like chassis chasseur).
The worst thing is that it was done on purpose. The guy who wrote it is French, and mostly interested in politics. He uses quotes completely out of context, plays on words, etc... Basically, someone who doesn't know who ED was would think he was just some sort of Nazi war criminal.
I am disgusted. I often try to help on Wikipedia (correcting typos, adding informations, links, etc...) but I'm now wondering if it's worth it. The uncensored aspect of Wikipedia has its limitations...
I'll stop bitching now... Just feels good when it comes out.
