    resoloution help pls

is there any way of making skins more detailed in il2 ( for example the cockpit internals ) by editing and saving 32 bit quality ?
i am using photoshop 7 and noticed when i save skins in il2 there is a window that opens asking me to save in 16 bit bmp and there is an option to save in 32 bit.
i would really like to have seriously sharp skins so maybe i could make a plane look almost real.

    Hi and welcome!

Use the 32 bit bmp to save your work. This has nothing to do with sharpness really, but rather color gradation smoothness. A 32 bit file gives a full 8 bits per pixel for color. With IL2, you still have to down convert this to an 8 bit palette however, so the quality will always be no better than that format can present.

Exporting through the Bright filter can save a lot of detail and reduce dithering etc ...

Bright is your best bet, unless you want to build your own 256 colours pallette by hand.
Nothing to stop you touching up after you have converted, but time spent for better results, its not worth it. Just use bright.
