    welcome Ironpriest
nice profile, but I think it is too flat...
mey be you can give a better 3D effect if you use more shadows and light...

Welcome Ironpriest! As Santino and Matt point out, the #1 thing you want to do to improve your profile is add shading and lighting to reinforce shape definition. There is rarely too much of that.

    Keep us posted!

    Thanks guys for the feedback!

I will definatly look into the shading and stuff... just don't know how to do it.
The reason i didn't use it to much on this one is that its a rather square helicopter.

    Well once again thanks ^^

Hi Bjorn, hi Guys, I'm baaaaack!
Bjorn, nice work on the Merlin. It's good to see another Rotor Head here.
With your shading, take another look at your references. You'll find that the the fuse darkens off as it wraps over the top, as well as the bottom.

You've got your highlight running 3/4 of the way up the fuse. This makes it look quite tubular (Dude!). As the Merlin is so boxy, you might try running it up near the top and narrowing it down some.

Don't be afraid to darken off your shading, particularly on the underside of the fuse, sponsons and engine pods. Watch your sponson's cast shadow, it's showing up on the background so it'll need to be masked or removed.

Are you going to do the Canadian SAR bird as well?
