    Zero revisited

Due to my job change a while back I haven't been working as much.
BUT...I'm still going at it in small bites
Herein lies a good message; Some of you will remember me saying I started with the most accurate drawings available and how inaccurate those "accurate" drawings were.
After starting the Model 21 series Ryan, my fact-checking Zero Guru and I noticed many deficiencies, the A6M3 prop was the wrong size, the pitot tubes were wrong on all models, and more of an artistic point, the leading edge wing root was poorly conceived in the drawing, and so also, poorly done on my profile. I have been slowly correcting these points on all my previous PSDs and finished profiles since I plan on putting them to use some day.

Take a look, the top is my original product and the lower is the new corrected version-

Not only can you see a big difference in the wing root and pitot tub but you'll see the overall length of the fuselage from the fire wall to the leading edge of the cowling was corrected (earlier correction) as well as the type of spinner.

Do you think I've finally found all the technical flaws yet?

Let this be a lesson, always look for ways to correct your work and make it better...if you're into that kind of thing, that is

They all look pretty darn nice to me.

As for correcting technical flaws, how do you (can you?) account for changes made during production runs or differences that might appear with similar planes made in different factories? I would think for late-war Axis planes these sort of problems would be darn near insurmountable unless you had detailed photos of an entire aircraft.

It’s a never ending journey isn’t it BH, the more you look the more you see and the hole just goes deeper and deeper? Your Zero looks flawless.

Absolutely astonishing, BH. Those cowlings in particular are breathtaking. Thank you for continuously showing me what is possible! It does drive me on to greater things.
