I think I have to disagree here.
You are not talking about things made by persons, but by companies. So the copyrights do not expire after 60-70 years (depending where you live).
Remember the issues Maddox Games had over having 3D models in the game, of certain US WW2 aircraft.

I understand Serval's POV and agree with him. Companies are not the same thing as artists/people.
What strikes me though is that when Boeing forbids you to use the 747 shape or LM forbids you to sell an F-16 drawing, they're just being bullies and a**h***s. There is no competition to them. They are just making people angry at them.
