Actually, no I haven't been sleeping. I thought a bit about what was going on here and decided I would look like a joke for my puny efforts. So what could I do that no one else was doing? After a bit the answer came to me. Everyone is so hung up on profiles that no one works on the fiddly bits. I've been studying and collecting for close to 30 years. So here's the first smack at the cat. Next up are all the tactical and national markings of the Luftwaffe. This is mostly done now. After that comes all the JG crests. Unfortunately those were all done by hand 20 years ago, but it's a good start. Here's the first lot of Stuka Geschwaders. These were all done as Illustrator files fully layered at 600X700 px and then converted to Photoshop files. If anyone thinks I'm missing anything I'd be glad to hear from you. I'd like to make this lot as complete as possible.

Great detail Otter...those would look great on IL-2 skins too.

Nice set, Otters. BTW, I've received the AR 234 data and wanted to thank you (can't reply by email at work, stupid server). Also, I have a wartime video that shows the He 162 canopy locking mechanism being used. The detail is not great, but it might give you a better glimpse if you're interested. Check "Secret Luftwaffe of WWII (1 of 5)" on YouTube, or wait a bit and I'll send you the exact link when I get back home (can't access YouTube at work either...)

I think my employers actually expect me to produce something else than profiles. I wonder where they got such an idea?

More on this. Nearly finished with my original drawings, but looking at further reference matrial it seems I'll spend the rest of my life completing it. Here's a sample anyways. It's a small chunk of what I've done so far.
