    Hi everyone

    Re: Some USN profiles

Welcome!! We totally salute new members, especially when they are talented as you! I really like your presentation format--very professional. I'm sure you will enjoy the site with its humor, help, encouragement, and tips. One of the things that really helps us is the availability of detailed photos and drawings, which are shared regularly by all our members. We admit to being nit-pickers, but in the spirit of trying to help the artist be more accurate. In that spirit, here are a few comments for your consideration, and a quick check with some of the photos posted at our Gallery section might help:

F-14: Shadows cast on fuselage by inlet, wing, and horizontal tail are not consistent (lighting from front or rear?) Main gear detail needs tweaking. Variable sweep panel detail on inner wing and gun fairing shape need tweaking.

F-18C: Both main and nose landing gear detail can be more accurate-see photos on page 3 of F-18 photos posted in Gallery. Engine inlet has wrong side profile -too much sweepback. LEX fence is too small in length.

F-4J: Forward fuselage air intake below ?111? has wrong shape. Shadows under wing not consistent and a bit confusing -tank has highlights, but missile pylon is dark. Outer wing appears too thick.

In any event, you do really great work, and I look forward to many more from you!!

    Joe

I like um a lot, they are strong and clean, better than most monthly publications standards. I don’t know if this is true or not, (without actually studying the aircraft themselves) but it does look like you have some small problems with overall shape and general lighting. They still look good though, probably just need a bit more time on them?
