Like um a lot, nice style of work.
Here's two Corsair II?s from CVW-5 as they appeared in Oct. 1973 shortly after the wing was transfered to NAS Atsugi in Japan.
The signature Shark mouth of VA-93, made the squadron one of the most recognizable A-7 squadrons ever, and did stay on their jets for more than a decade, untill the USN made Low-viz colors standard.
I have tried making teh canopy more "glass-like", however, i don't know if i nailed it.
I hope you'll like them !
Looking good, AP. You've got the lighting on the top of the wing just right, it looks like it is coming out toward you! You gotta love the SLUF. So much nicer than the Crusader.
Thanks alot ! Your comments is very much appriciated !
nice profiles,
there is something about your profiles that bothers me, they seem too soft!not sure if that is the right discription, they look like they are made of marshmallow instead of metal, don't take this as criticisiam(can't spell)
, it is just my own choice.
gruby, you need your eyes or brain testing, the sluf better than the crusader!!!! when hell freezes over![]()

I like these profiles.
I think the comment about "too soft" means not enough contrast. I think too you should change the light grey to something darker.
And the shadowing is good to me.
We share the same passion, and I enjoy it !
I saw of lot of these when stationed at NAS JAX and your profiles look great. As I remember the color of these beasts, they were not really darker than you have them, but more yellow. That may just have been the way everything looked in Florida sunshine, though, it's been a long while.

You lucky one, all this sun !
Now, that's an issue when you want to colorize your drawing. This depends on your reference pictures ! Either a nice blue sky, with sunshine, or a gray cloudy weather.
The worst is the complete color change with the medium grey you can find on our actual navy planes. Sometimes, planes look grey, or bluish grey, or sometimes, a little greenish ...
