Perhaps this question is little off topic, but where is this red bird located ? Green houses are not exactly their default parking and as I'm a nerd for relics, might be worth while going there to take some pics.....

    Re: folland GNAT PLEASE HELP

while matts deployed elsewhere i'll post for him.... what i know/in matts books anyway the Folland gnat was manufactured in 2 key variants the T1 as seen above and the F1, F1 had more of a pointy nose, the gnat was also built under license by HAL (Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd.) as the Ajeet. the gnat started life as the midge. if that is matts back garden i've not seen that in it yet, his room is bad enough with a vulcans ejector seat in as a bog-standard chair (which he uses for flight sim), although while he's away thats being moved into his study this is the aforementioned F1...

JMSmith, i agree Matts crazy... or as he puts it "i have my eccentric moments" .. the Gnat as its name implies isn't very big had a wingspan of 6.3 metres was 2.8 metres tall and 8.7 metres long... the plane that replaced it throws its diminutive size into scale, the hawk (matts favourite plane) below is a picture that i know matt likes and i'm sure you'll like showing the diminutive Gnat nice and low...

just barely visible is the pilot throwing it into scale.... and yes i will get my own forum name in due course matt left me in charge of his various accounts)

    Regards,
    Keren S. (Matts 'other half')

The most fun is when they start the engine without moving the aircraft away from the greenhouse first. A few thousand pounds of thrust usually takes care of your standard greenhouse.
