    A Blowhard Challenge

I looked at this behemoth and immidiately thought of Blowhard...not that it bears any relationship to his size, I just thought he was the only one capable of doing it justice. The world's first four engined bomber. In fact, they were so short of engines they had to use two different kinds! I'm surprised they could even come up with that. What's even more surprising is that in spite of a top speed of 71 MPH, only one of these lumbering beasts was ever brought down...and that was by AA fire. Plans were dug up from an old Scale Modeler magazine from about 20 years ago.

    Huh...but it's...Russian!
    Think Zeppelin-Staaken R,

    Movie here-

    Think Siemens-Schuckert R,

    Think Linke-Hoffmann R I

The Linke may not look too big but that single propeller is 7 METERS!!!!
    How about a Dornier Rs?

I've got Staaken and Linke_Hoffmann drawing...but would I ever get around to it? The Linke is a really amazing plane, all German giants from WW1 are pretty amazing for that matter.
I think If I ever did a big WW1 bomber profile it would be a Gotha G series.

Otter, I think Ilya Muromets is more of an Otter challenge, what do you think?

    FAST AND BULBOUS!

Are you kidding me? Have you ever seen me do ONE colour profile here? I'm too stupid to figure out more than simple block fills. Lately I have figured out Gausian blurs (WOO HOO!) 'cept I can't keep them inside the lines so I have to be creative when using them....like stacking the layers so the stuff outside the lines won't show. The Zeppelin bomber looks cool, and I'd LOVE to see you do a Gotha!!!

    Hi Ott,

I saw in your post you were talking about Gaussian blur. I assume you are using it in Illustrator? I haven't used it myself, but I'm sure the principles are the same.

What are you trying to do with it? Is it like a camo scheme? I'm thinking a mask can be applied so the outside edge stays solid while the interior gets blurred.

Let me know, I'm sure I can help.

That thing is huge!! I agree BLowhard is the man for the job

@Ott, I know the feeling on profiling the learning curve is steep. But doable.
