Looking for a font type
It is this type I'm looking for...

Used on Albatros aircraft's in WW1.
Any one know where I might find it?
Cheers

Re: Looking for a font type
Have you tried "dafont.com" ?
You pick a font type, you type in the number or letter your looking for in custom preview and the results show up. Then click on the matching results and save as.
It can become a bit of work but,,,,

Re: Looking for a font type
Unless I miss my guess, it's not a font but rather hand drawn letters. They used hand cut stencils back then. I've never been able to find any fonts to match what I see on real aircraft. Instead I convert the closest font to vectors and modify it that way.

You could try Bernard MT
Bernard MT Condensed?|?Unicode?|?A-B?|?TTF?|? >>> Free True Type Fonts
On the other hand, there is a guy over at the Aerodrome who makes serial fonts for several manufacturers. He did them a while back and I'm not sure if he's still handing them out. If you do ask him for them, please ask nicely. I'm sure when he started giving out free fonts he didn't anticipate people from all over wanting them

Re: Looking for a font type
I've been told that the Albatros factory had one man employed making the numbers only. Hand painted of course.

Gotta agree with you that it does look white.

Re: Looking for a font type
I see Dan-San seems to think it's got a pale green rudder. He's probably right but you've got to wonder...
You still need to fix the small cross on the top of the fuselage. Notice in the photos it's smaller and more exaggerated.
