Re: Nose Art
Sorry Ranker, its not in our nature to ignore peeps in here, just that more skinners have moved onto drawing profile art so have less to do with skins.
To try and answer your question . . . nose-art is really tricky to get looking good on skins due to 2 factors. Size being one and colour depth being the other.
Do you use bright to finish your skins or other methods for your colour depth reduction? If you are using bright, then there isn’t a lot more you can do, but if you aren’t, I recommend you give it a shot, you should see some improvement.

Re: Nose Art
Somehow I missed this original post!
Are you talking about the separate noseart graphic that IL2 allows to be applied to models in game? Or noseart that you are pasting onto the aircraft skin directly in Photoshop?
There are both ways as I recall, each with different methods.

Re: Nose Art
Show your skin, then we can see what you exactly mean.
I assume only the noseart on the skin is blurry and the skin is fine. And you are not useing the in game nose art.
You might want to try the filter Sharpen - Unsharp mask on the laye with nose art.
First slider somewhere between 50 and 180 and the second one at 0.3
Start playing from there.

Re: Nose Art
Note that the skin size also is a problem for the noseart. The skin is resized a lot.
It'll take some experimenting to get the best possible results.
