Night Texture
Firstly, I have repainted some aircraft before but not for a couple of years. I use Photoshop 7 and DXTbmp.
All well and good....I was thinking of repainting an Auster in which the designer has included night textures of the whole aircraft.the problem I do have is when I do a new wing for example (wings_T) all is ok but when darkness falls....you know what I am going to say....yes the old paint shows up through the new one...I know what it is, it is the wings_L the night textures coming into play.
Having identified the culprit what is the method to generate the texture wings_L from my newly created wings_T....?
Is there a quick and easy way in Photoshop....?
It would be a great help if someone could enlighten me on this one.
Thanks in advance

Re: Night Texture
wings_L is usually on GA aircraft set to pure black so as to be completely darkened when night falls, however if you use wings_T and simply rename wings_L then it'll display day colours, simple trick is to overlay a pure black layer on the top and add any lighting above that using the original wings_t as a guide as to where the lights go. hope this helps....
