    Realistic looking canopy

    Hello
I am currently working on an F-86 profile.
I pretend to do a realistic looking canopy, with reflections, etc., giving it a real feel of glass.
Here is the work so far.
Comments and suggestions are most welcomed
    Best regards to all

I have no comments on your glass other than it looks nice
But, your nose shape looks off. The edges are much rounder, it's super smooth, not sharp. Also the fuselage shape looks round, it should be more angular, yes?

Looks pretty nice. I'd suggest thinning out the highlights overall while keeping a spot or two really bright. Look at the 1st an 3rd pictures posted by BH to see what I mean.

Looks like all the elements are there, I'd just suggest making adjustments to the opacity of each layer until you get it exactly right.

    Re: Realistic looking canopy

By my experience, a good glass effect need not less than 10-12 layers. The white highlughts, must be sharp cutted on the lower side and smoothed on the top. Otherwise the "glass" will look matte or dirty.

    Re: Realistic looking canopy

Thanks a lot for your help.
I am currently with several projects and have done the corrections you suggested on the Sabre.
When it's done I will post it here for further comment.
