    Adding pictures

hey guys, im totally new to this, so this is my question.

I wanna take a bf109, and add babe pictures to the wings, ive tried doing this, and so far ive noticedthat if i go over 3mb it will not work. I can get 1 small picture on but thats it, any other pics wont work, ive seen guys in games have their entire plane covered, and with the quality at 100% mine had to be lessened. How can i do this??

    thanks guys!

Hi, is the Bf109 for IL2?

If so then you simply need to convert your final artwork to an 8 bit BMP format. This will reduce the file from 3MB to 1MB. Palette conversion for IL2 is often done using BRIGHT, since it's converter seems to outperform several graphics editors built in filters.

Here are some links from our tutorial library to get you started.

    Re: Adding pictures

Just go ahead and save with the normal options, which should be a 24 bit BMP format.

If you don't have Bright already, you can download it here:
    Bright - Texture Converter

There are also some useful utilities for Bright in our downloads area:

Then follow those directions on the 'Using Bright' tutorial, and you should be good.

EDIT: Thread moved to IL2 skinning forum.

That only works when you've got the Bright plug-in installed.
Besides that, the Bright plug-in doesn't work with Paint Shop Pro and the two latest versions of Photoshop.
