hi AP,
man what an improvement, you have progressed in a quantum leap over your early stuff, fantasticglad someone listens to my advice.
Sorry for my looooong absence from this site ! I have been trying very hard, to improve my renditions, and here“s some of the results...what do you think ?
I agreed with the statement that my profiels looks somewhat "soft" so i tried out some new shading method and I think it have worked pretty good ! Basicly what i have done is adding more of a well defined, very bright area as highlight, and made the shade less prominent.
Also, i have been adding some detail to the Phantoms, exhaust and cockpit area...I think the exhaust area really turned out good on the Phantom. But i“ll be happy to hear your oppinion.
Last but not least I have tried my luck with a USAF Phantom...What do you think ?

I like the F-4s especially. Good job.![]()
thanks ! I“m quite pleased with the Phantom. The Skyraider took a while, especially the area behind the engine compartment was difficult to get right.
I think the Corsair captures the metal-look ok, but not extremly good ! What can i do better you think ?
Thanks
As stated in Supah's Hunter post, I'd suggest you try the grey render technique for your next aircraft. You might not like it, but I suspect you will. Jesters goes even further. Check it out. What can i do better you think ?
If you don't want to try it on a full aircraft, make a simplified fuselage (something like the X-1) just to test the technique.
I often try other artists' techniques. Even when I don't adopt the technique in question, I often learn something valuable from it.
Thanks ! I“ll try it out...it sounds pretty simple, but i can see the resultats are great, so lets give it a shot.
Thanks
