Excellent work as usual Jester. Really like the burnt metal effect at the exhaust

Well Gents its been a week for feeling thoroughly ticked off, what with one thing and another. With the high praise for the Sea Fury (of which I am now really not happy with) not going unappreciated, I am just sick of looking at it.
I think it boils down to having lots of projects still unfinished and no real data to finish them with.
So I started something this morning as a sidetrack. Don’t kick me whilst I’m down, I have no idea why I picked it either, but here it is. . . in all its glory . . . .

This is the master's test: a white aircraft on a white background. Superb result, Jesters. I don't have a clue as to what model it is, but it looks very good.![]()
One (possible) improvement would be adding a tiny bit of shading to the top, for more roundness? I don't know if it should be in black, or slightly blue? Or perhaps nothing at all? I'd try the blue approach but I might be talking nonsense.
And, please, try and show a few WIPs before throwing such great drawings at us. We need to see that you're sweating blood before achieving these results. It's good for our egos.

hey GM,
he only startedit yesterday
JMSmith (back by popular demand)
John is right, I started this around half 9 yesterday, he would know, I bombarded him with progress as it went. All this in between the buzz and nudge wars that raged for most of the afternoon and evening. I have not forgotten about the bridge John, don’t forget the bottle.
This time it is Gaëtan’s fault,I wanted to test his new idea he posted on the cub, working his and my own techniques together. It is a very quick way of doing things and produces good results for the time input. It is an A4 drawing however so nowhere near the pixel count of the A3’s.
It is not a Sentinel, it is an Embraer from what I can tell it’s a 135 or a 145.
They build these in 12 14 and 16 windowed versions.
The basic airframe remains the same, but longer.
Its good fun and is a breath of fresh air after all those warplanes.

Perhaps this is overstating things a bit, but I feel you put your finger on it when you said you have lots of things unfinished for lack of data. Depressing. Personally I tend to put what time I have available to me into the one item I am doing and then be done with it. Much more satisfying in the long run since you don't diversify your effort so much. In any case, I have found that it's a bit like painting the house, there is a hell of a lot more to the preparation than actually doing it. The work we actually see from you is superb. Don't forget, you are not really doing this for our entertainment. It's for you. Then we get a peek. OK?

Gaëtan was spot on about the top, it did need a bit of roundness adding to it, the blue working the best.
I see your point Ugo about the wing, but this is a doodle, as such is subject to my therapyI'd much rather have the departure door the right size and in the right position (see first drawing and second drawing). I also made the big mistake of mirroring an image to start the drawing from . . .big mistake. There are a lot of panels and details that are inconsistent, including the doors and windows.
Tiz an elegant aircraft though and I am wondering what to do next to compliment it.
I hear ya Rat, and it about sums up my problem.
I can however, only bang my head against a brick wall for so long before I start to lose the passion for any one given subject.![]()
