    A New Beginning

It may seem strange, but I've decided I need to try making a profile of something besides a Mustang. I know, I know...heresy!

Since there's a guy at work who's dad flew B-26s with the 450th BS/322nd BG, I figured that the old "Baltimore Wh*re" might make a good subject. Here's the very early stages.

Added some colors to check the shading...

This will be a B-26B-30, by he way. Other marks and/or blocks may follow!

A little bit of progress. Added windows and got a start on the wings/engines.

    hi jarink,

stop before you go any further, please rectify the shape of your fin and rudder, i don't know if you are using a drawing as your base but it looks like a drawing published in a well known magazine the artist of these copied my profile drawing before i had redrawn the fin and rudder( serves him right for not doing his own research) this image will give you the correct shape.

also be very carefull with the canopy framework, it ain't as simple as it looks.

by the way, the outline shape is the same for both early and late b26's just taller on the later ones

I knew something wasn't quite right with the fin, but I couldn't quite figure it out. I've been looking for some decent pics of the tail, but it seems everyone likes taking oblique pictures of Marauders! I've started the canopy framing and yes, it is certainly messier than it first appears. Lots of overlapping parts.
