You are right, quite hard to do...Usually, I have more than 10 layers for a dirty tire. I use "humid pencil". Here is a exemple with a Schwimmwagen tire's.

Ugo, I missed this one. IT'S BRILLIANT!!! The dead flat paint is perfect, you can almost smell it at taste it. The tarp at the front, real stuff, it almost moves in the wind
The tires and wheels are great too.
Only thing, maybe the white field for the side cross is too white? Maybe darken it or put some color too it just so it doesn't stand out so much?

Thanks BH! I agree regarding the bright white circle. Will try to make it a bit yellowish. This is my second effort regarding non-flying profiles (the third one was a train). German army asked me for also a FUCHS ambulance, but after the long time I had to spend behind this I am seriously thinking to give up!

For my 2 cents worth, I'd add a little dark and/or dirt to the "KFOR" on the door, desaturate the driver's door window color a little, it seems too colorful, and then ship it!
It's pretty damn good Ugo! EXCELLENT WORK

YEP! .....nothing easier!!

Copy and paste the squared texture, resize, desaturate at 35%, apply over the profile and work with eraser! that's all!
