    OV-10 Bronco

I have dusted off one of my very old renditions and tried to improve it in every way i could. So far, this is the result. I have tried out some new stuff...Like doing all the paint work in Photoshop, which enabled me to do the fuzzy edges where the grren meets the white belly.

I got pretty caught up in trying new stuff out, so there´s alittle done here and something else done there, but i thought i wanted to post the rendition anyway...for no other reason than you´ll know whats comming !

The tricky part about this bird is that its so small, so what´s details on the other aircrafts that i use to do, are quite large on this bird...take the rivets as a example. Anyway, I try to expand my horixon abit with this project, and I´ll try to do some Broncos for my website, to acompany the photos i have recieved of OV-10s.

The cockpit detaisl will be comming...but it´s nearly half the aircraft so it´ll take a while !

Let me know what you think of the Bronco so far

    Fantastic start!!

Check the plane of rotation of the prop. I think it's about vertical when the airplane is on the ground with its characteristic nose-down attitude. In other words, the plane of the prop blades should be tilted back a bit for the horizontal attitude you'e drawn the fuselage.

    Keep it coming!!

Thanks alot...this have been a fun project !! I think howevere, that i´m getting pretty close to completion.
I have checked the propeller angle, and to me it looks like i have got it right...its pretty hard to tell though.
I tried the base model out with two differen schemes, and it seems to be working with both colors.

Let me know what you think about the Bronco-renditions.

    hi AP,

could you post a close up of the area around the engine front and canopy please.

think you might be a gnats knacker out in the angle of the engine.

Me thinks that John has caught the prop/engine issue also. Still needs tweaking. Here's a few shots of our NASA bird to show the relative angle of the fuselage and prop.

    Great work!!

    Re: OV-10 Bronco

Maybe it's not so much the angle of the prop (from horizontal/direction of flight) as it is the bottom edge of the fuselage not angling down enough? From JMSmith's picture, it looks like that long panel line near the bottom of the fuse should be about horizontal or a little below.

The engine nacelle looks to be quite a bit rounder in reality, than as illustrated.

None the less, still quite a nice profile, esp in green.

Always one of my favs. I built the HAWK kit when I was a young tot
Looking pretty good. But to add to all the other points brought up, your center pod looks too rounded at the lower edge. Look at the photos, it's basically a box cross section with rounded edges. Yours is shaded as if it were an oval. This funny because mostly you see a round fuselage shaded incorrectly so that it has flat sides. In this case you need it to be more flat sided.

Anyway, it's a great subject and it's looking pretty good!

    FAST AND BULBOUS!
