    A-6 Intruder WIP

So finially ! Some new stuff from me...I have been wating to do this aircraft for quite a while, and finially i got my acts together. The wing area have been quite tricky and is not quit etehre yet, but this is how far i have got at this moment. I havent to do both the A/B/C models and the E TRAM model, so teh low-viz birds will get there when this A-model is getting cose to completion. I´ll possibly do the KA-6D too.

Let me know what you think so far

    Re: A-6 Intruder WIP

Nice start! Here are a couple I did a few years ago before I joined this terrific site and learned how bad my techniques were!! These are in terrible need of shading for form definition, but might be helpful for geometry.

For any noobs out there, take note of the value of Airprofiles doing "grey-form" shading before doing detailed work on markings. One of the most important lessons to be learned here!

Suggest you might check the forward angle of the refueling probe-should angle down with the aircaft at that attitude.

    Keep 'em coming!

And an A-6E TRAM version. One day I'll do these over so they don't look like my grandson's work!

So far so good...Still many details to work on but it´s getting there. I´ll look into the nose probe...but i think you are right: it need to angle abit more downward.

This might very well be my last profile...on PC I´m switching to mac very soon...Hope the profiles will improve with the new hardware

    Thanks

Very good work Aircraftprofiles! Tried working on a mac a bit, didn't find it a lot faster opening and saving files plus I had trouble getting used to the interface. It will be a while before I make the switch

    Re: A-6 Intruder WIP

Looks very good. The lower part of the radome seems a bit too slab-sided to me but that's probably a question of interpretation.

Good luck with transition to Macs. A friend has been wanting to give me one for some time already but I just don't have the time to do the transition, and I'm not sure that I'd be much better off with newer software and hardware.

The pregnant guppy is looking great...any chance for some one-off schemes like the green or desert camo that was experimented with?

As for the mac, I'll keep my PC. If I just did graphic art with mine, then I might consider a Mac, but I use mine for gaming as well.

    Congrats for this intruder !

As a US Navy fan, I can only say continue this way.

And by the way, as my PC was dead for some time, I had to use a Mac. Well, the worst for me was the confusion with Alt, Ctrl, and function key which are in another order on the Mac keyboard. And to add some confusion, when on PC you use sometimes Ctrl, on Mac it's sometimes the same, and sometimes not !!! (ou know what was the apple key in the past).
