Embraer EMB 110C - Profile

Hi guys
I'm from Brazil and new here
This post is to show an almost finished couple of profiles of the EMB 110C. the first airplane designed and built by Embraer. I did it from a profile for the decal instructions that I made for a resin kit in the 1:72 scale. I'm planing to work in a FS 2004 model of it using FSDS.

Hi Marcos, Welcome to the madhouse! You realise you can never leave.

Good looking profiles. Are they done in Illustrator? The grads make me think so. The tail on SBA looks particularly good with the rudder shadow etc.

The first error that everyone will nail you on is that you are relying on lines to define shape rather than light and shadow. Otherwise these pieces are very good. After that everyone gets really picky about fiddly stuff. I refer you to the excellent work of Jester, Blowhard, Baron, Gaetan Marie, Giant Flying Robots and many more too numerous to mention. All will eagerly help you develop your skills unless you're a hopeless case like me.

Nice start, you choose a interesting subject, I think you have to work on shadow and linght your EMB 110C look a little bit flat...

Thank you all guys for the nice wellcome and the tips about the profiles.
I did it as a vector drawing with Corel Draw. I have to learn how to work with light and shadows to avoid this flat look.
I'm seeing that this forum is the right place to do it

Hi Guys,
I started to learn how to use photoshop to enhance the shadows. It really makes a difference. I only worked on the engine nacelles and have more to do. Here are some pictures. I`m working over a 2911 X 1465 pixels and 300dpi jpg file.
