Looking for a good House Of Savoy Pic
Howdy folks. I'm helping my Uncle with his R/C model which will be finished in Fascist Italian Markings. Trouble is, the House of Savoy emblem that is on the white rudder band is a bugger to find. And it is proving even more troublesome to hand draw and paint on decal sheet. If there is a good hi-res version, I can run it off on a pigment copier, and get all the nice details to show up and clear it with epoxy paint clearcoat.
Here's a picture with the fuselage and tail covered. The upper and lower wings are still in the covering stage, but should be ready by next week.

Thanks in advance for any assistance offerred!
Off to add the markings to the lower wing outer panels

ConradB, I might have something on my HD at home. I'll look at it when I come home this weekend. I can't promise anything though.

That's cool gamary. Thanks for looking though! Will wait, as having 2 wings to finish covering will keep my Uncle and myself busy in the meantime.

Re: Looking for a good House Of Savoy Pic
Well, I just looked at what I had and it's not very good, unfortunately.
However, I found this on the web:

It comes from Richard Ferričre's website.
You might try a google image search on "maison de savoie", "armes de savoie" or "armes de la maison de savoie". You might get a better result with French terms, given that we frogs stole Savoie from Italy in 1860.

Wow!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks a lot guys! This is great! Will definitely be able to work with those!
Man, I looked over at Wiki, and the ones I came up with didn't have the ribbon across the bottom.
Well, I'll definitely have to post pics of the finished model. It's really starting to come together, just the tedious stuff left like wingtips and leading edges, and the landing gear still needs to be bent and soldered / braised.
