An old French TV serie

I'm looking for info about an old French TV series properly produced in the early 80's or late 70's.
It was called if I remember correctly ETIENNEN.
The story started before WW1 were a young kid was very interested in flying and you follow him through out the war were he become an ace in the French air force.

Any one remember this TV series?

The only reference I could find to something like that is "Les faucheurs de Marguerites". It ran from 1974 to 1982.

I'm French, but I didn't have a TV until I was 25 and even now it turn it on every 15 days or so only, so I'm afraid I'm not very useful for anything like that...

gamary, don't think it that series. At least can't remember that there should be any female pilots in it.
