Thanks guys
Uh oh Mc, time to have your eyeballs checkedThey're pretty different.
Ryan has done all the needed research including measurements down to the millimeter. I would have that certain "I don't know at all" quality if it weren't for him! You'll see there is an extension to the vertical fin as well as a new piece to fill in the gap from the shallower balance. The rudder is all new too including the metal/fabric construction.
It's been a real trip getting all the little changes and details worked in to this one.

This kids...Is how its done.
Wow! He lifted the bar again. Everybody back to the drawing board!

ratfugel,
back to the drawing board? I threw mine out over a cliff. I'm in the corner sulking, now that the realisation has dawned that I need to change my avatar to 'acolyte',
MC
I dunno about that. I saw that bar over in the corner but I can't lift it by myself, that's for sure!He lifted the bar againI'm just trying to keep up with everyone else around here and that's a tall order!!!

UH OH, don't do that! I thought your Rufe was coming along pretty nice. Have you worked on it any more?I threw mine out over a cliff
FAST AND BULBOUS!
BH,
I've shelved my Rufe as I am working on a monster article on the markings of the Tainan Ku (hence my zeros in previous posts). Since the Tainan flew Model 21s and 32s it will be a mix of A6Ms. Along with Hokoku numbers, tail and fuselage stripes, and the mixed calligraphy of tail codes its quite a challange. I am collaborating with several Japanese colleagues, and I will only profile those aircraft for which we have confirmed colour schemes, meaning color photography. Its a good thing to do as its never been done before, or at least to any degree of detail. It will be another 12 months before its published,
MC
I think you'll need all 12 of those months Mc. That will be a hole lot of research!!!
Here is the French tested Rufe-
It seems REALLY weird that this plane looks SO French with only the addition of the French roundels!![]()
FAST AND BULBOUS!
Great work and impressive texture work! Like the weathering most.
Cheers,
Blowhard, I like much the Rufe painted mauve.
Great job, congratulations.
Sorry for my English.
