    Color Calibration

I supose this is the right place to ask... if not... sorry in advance

Without expending a lot of money buying hardware to get a correct monitor calibration... (I just want to see what will be printed... and not have more surprises)... what are the tools we have?

I made several times the color calbration process that's come with adobe (do the win vista em seven wizard as well)... and never get the right dark color... see my first tryes on Cascavel... too dark on print and in another computers.

    Suggestions?

    Re: Color Calibration

I use a Spyder2Express calibration probe and I'm satisfied with it. I calibrate once a month. That model is cheap (I found it for ~40~€) but it does the job for me, as I'm not a colour freak. I just wanted the screen to be calibrated in a decent manner.

I use the Spyder2 also. It works nicely. I think as long as you don't get too crazy with your expectation you'll do ok. Keep in mind a great many monitors, usually the cheaper ones, aren't really up to good color display and depending on how good your monitor is will depend on how close you get to "good" color.

Roger that. Colour is such a complex thing that I find it fairly pointless to try to get it perfect... It's a bit like debating whether an hour is short or long.

Yep, if you can get close enough for a fair amount of dependability, you're doing OK
