Hey at least our stuff has variety, pale ales, IPAs, bitters, stouts, porters, milds. And then there are the fine ciders and perrys

Getting back on topic for a moment with the profiles, personally I prefer to see all out shading and rendering or flat colours, not a halfway house which is neither one or the other.

    Hi "Single"Sean

your very fat watermark is unnecessary and extremely ugly.

Yeah me too, depends on if the absence of shading is done on purpose or something that Martin is still working on.

thanks for the comments and warm welcomes all.

as for the shading.. that is he best I could do without making the profile look odd. shading is still my weak point so I am adding just enough to give it some depth.

eventually I will go through some of the tutorials here and try to make them look better.

    Some thrive on it

Shading isn't too hard, it is all about understanding light and form, the way the light falls on a F-104 isn't all that different to a drink can.

Throw in some reflection and highlights according to the level of gloss you desire and that's it. Don't be afraid to try out new options and be bold about it, can always use ctrl+z (unless you're a mac type of a person but that can't be helped)
