How to add my own logo to aircraft?
A newbie to aircraft painting and admittedly so much to learn. I want to add my own (transparent) logo to tail of aircraft. I know how to locate, open and paste image but it appears in center of my norm.bmp. How do I properly paste and reposition/locate this logo to the tail?
Obviously, I,m new to Adobe Photoshop as well (using CS5). I've searched YouTube but each vid is different from the previous one? I hope someone can answer this with a step-by-step guide. Have even tried Adobe CS5Forums but too advanced for me. I'm also using DXTBmp. Pls feel free to send response to email: brent_vanderham@bell.net

I don't have CS5, but look for a "move" tool. Something that'll let you drag the logo around.
Next you might find you need to rotate your logo (this will depend on the repaint layout). You'll want to look for a "rotate layer 90 degrees" option. Most certainly in a menu, based on my use of older Photoshop versions.

Thx adlabs6:
Will keep trying until I get it right if i can manage this, and add some color stripes i'm on my way to my first completed paint. I know how to add text and use free tranform to reverse. This is not so difficult. Just stuck temporarily - i hope!

Yep, not really hard... just takes some getting the ropes.
One common thing you might encounter when trying to move the logo, is something besides the logo moving (such as the main aircraft skin file).
To solve this, be sure you have selected the layer your logo (or whatever you wish to move around) is on.
BTW, I notice that Adobe has the reference manual online. I searched it and found the tool you want to use to move the layer with the logo. You can see the "Move Tool" here (Second on the top row):

you've been a great source of help and inspiration. really appreciate your replies and i guess i better practise what i preach - that is - practise makes perfect. keeping things simple in design for first attempt is likely best. will preview my first job in this thread. many thx
