Absolutely beautiful!! What a rendering--Hall of Fame class

Ugo, I should know the answer, but I'll ask:

Why do (most) of the C-17s have the beginning of the landing gear pod fairing much more forward than your profile--but C-17s also are seen with your lines?

This is one of your best!!

Comparing the photos to the profile and being honest, the shading along the top carries on to the wing root in the photos but not your illustration and isn't as dark as yours along the very top, also what would cause the discolouration around the tail, wouldn't the engines be too far out to stain it?

Otherwise it's big, solid and meaty.

    Ugo,

You're right! I never noticed the asymmetry before, even after up-close inspection of C-17 at Langley a few weeks ago!

    Here's the proof.

    Hey Ugo,

I'm a fan of your profile.
This drawing is again well done to you. As always very precise.
Also, your composition is once again very beautiful.

Only the color of your Globemaster III, I'm not quite agree.
The you is for my taste, get a shot to green.

    Bye

Another a/c with similar asymmetric shape is the Mi-8 / Mi-17 helicopter. Left tank is much shorter than right side...

I have modified the shade of the tail cone. Now brighter and better looking. Alyways a good shadow eye catcher Inkworm

Looking better but here's what I'd do, certainly in front of the wing root there is nothing to break up the highlight and from the angle of the sun the same applies behind the wing. I'd still say the very top is too dark, there is nothing to cast a shadow there so it should be lighter than the centre part of the fuselage but it's not.

Also whilst on the shadow observations the shadow is not consistent along the bottom, rear of the wheel bay it is lighter than the nose section when it should be the same, I'd personally opt to lighten the front section shadow by a good few percent.

Hope you don't mind the criticism and I'm sure that if I'm being too picky or a pain you'll tell me to piss off anyway
