You still need to sort out the 'Weather Interception and Pacification' artwork, it looks a bit flat but should distort with the airframe

As for the barely visible stuff you know it's there, we know it's there and if you removed it, it would make a big difference.

Nag, nag, nag... The problem, as you probably know, is being fed up with finding sites using my work (including WIP with missing details...). Only a few days ago, I had to go after a webmaster who was using my profiles and removing the name. (Which is pretty stupid, because I usually allow some use of my profiles, as long as I get due credit and a return link...).

The alternative IMHO is limiting the size of the file (my "internet limit" is 600 or 700 px wide). I don't know which is better / less worse.

Plus, we could use some weather interceptors. After a month of May with 2 mm of rain, we're having one of the crapiest month of July I can remember.

Yeah people are pretty scrupulous, in the end if they don't want to play fair what are you going to do? Take them to court and sue for damages? The time and money spent to do that is often not worth the compensation in the end.

    Re: F-117A Nighthawk

I've had work (wip's at that) taken from this very site, without being asked or given credit only to see it published in a magazine.

The galling thing is it was done by a member here not once but...twice.

I have completed quite a bit of work of late, I've just become a little gun shy about putting it up.

    Makes getting feedback kinda problematic.

    Sorry for the O/T.

I know I was being silly about the wip thing but it is a very valid point raised.

Something to possibly consider is setting up an invite only area for work to be posted up which has limited access? It is one way of getting round the issue, where as at the moment a visitor doesn't even need to log in to see the posts and work, this was good for me whilst lurking before my first post and is a good way of getting new members however if work is being used without permission it is an issue.

As for all weather interceptors, they were planned but thanks to even more government cuts...you aren't even going to see a Gloster Javelin!

True but in the case of a magazine, as is GFR's case, I would at the very least contact them and offer them to find some agreement/settlement (money, free advertising, free subscription, ???) or face legal action. I'm not crazy about suing people or companies but there are some limits to what I'll accept. Especially from magazines or other professionals.

Back on subject for a moment....Been having a look at the Warbird Tech on the F-117 and there are some good colour shots of the older aircraft and the variations in dark grey across the airframe are quite strong and there is more weathering and discolouration than I thought possible for the type, really depends on the look you're going for with it.

Agreed. The cleaner aircraft are almost boring, but some have repairs/discolouration/weathering. For the moment, I'm going for a fairly new aircraft, but I'll have a try at older ones later on.
