"A tank of 'Rice's Red Devils', 'C' Co. of 89th Tank Bn., was one of the first across the Han River during the action in March 1951 near Uchonni, Korea. This company, commanded by Capt. Clifford Rice, painted red and white dragon faces on the fronts of their M4A3E8 Shermans in a curious attempt to intimidate the Chinese troops. One would imagine the 76mm gun would do a better job..."
