little tips. Easyest part is to set properly the figure in a natural position. Making some proportional lines over the helicopter and imaging how it would look like. Sometimes "google" some keywords to get people at work, such as mechanic, etcc.. and get inspiration from them. Especially for all the clothes movements and tricky foldings of the tissue. After that fill up the lines with circles or ovals, same technique in use on paper drawing but very useful not to loose the perception of the overall figure. After muscles are in position we need to put clothes on. Not the easiest part. And then start painting with masks airbrush and my Wacom tablet! Bigger the image and most realistic will be the final shape

Thanks for the tutorial, Ugo! It's fantastic work!

Now, if you do an AH-64D Longbow Apache, I want to be the pilot.

The eggbeater is typically first class, its the figures that are a real knockout form mine, added to the open doors/hatches it gives the drawing a lovely sense of depth often missing from other profiles.

I used to find life drawing classes using a pencil difficult enough. And I'm much better with a pencil than a pixel.

These are truly beautiful Ugo. The open doors and the addition of well drawn crew give it a sense of depth, scale and reality found on very few profiles. I'm a big fan of yours.

Inorganic is much easier to draw for me so hats off to all those who can actually do what you do Ugo.
