P-3 Orion Squadrons!

Inspired by the artwork by Pat Cherry, here is my FIRST profile wip! The idea is to draw up all P-3 Squadrons, in honor of the P-3's service since 1961! Focusing on the squadron aircraft art!

I drew up the line art in normal scale. Then squeezing and pulling it to my liking! I'm still tweaking a few things including the engine nacelles!!



Here are all the VP squadrons I drew up!

Instead of just tweaking the line art try dedrawing the whole thing and really going ott on certain distinguishing features, widen the tail a bit and bring the wings forward a bit.

Otherwise nice profile and good to see someone else doing proper profiles.

Nice shading but I'd preffer a normally proportioned profile.

Thanks guys! I actually have some pretty good detail in her and the initial line art was just a starting point. For sure going to think about widening the tail! The wing location is to accommodate the long engine nacelles. Just have to finish the props!

Glad you approve of the shading! OMG I keep going back tweaking things because it's not quite right! I can move on now....lol.

Do you have a hi-res version of the P-3 Orion VP squadrons that could be used to make a poster from? It's a wonderful print and I would love to have it blown up to poster-size to hang above my desk.
