    Re: Bentley Tempest drawings

    Looks very nice!

About the weathering: I like the effects, but the white "streaks" that go along the fuselage length are a bit too visible IMHO. I'd suggest toning them down a bit, especially towards the rear of the aircraft.

Also, the demarcation line between the upper and lower camouflage gives the fuselage a pinched look. I think you might want to rework that a little.

I'm still impressed by how fast you've improved your technique. The oil streaks and stains on the engine cowling are a nice touch and the main tire looks very well done.

Looks very, very nice! Not overly keen on the glossy effect though, it seems a bit out of place and reminds me of the plastic wrap filter!
Shame of that wheel being covered... it does look awesome.

As for the wing... maybe this helps!

I'm rather tempted to say your wing looks a bit too thick (and round, airfoil-wise). The horizontal stabiliser definitely looks too thick as well, by the way. I think you may have included the fillet with the shading.

I decided to get rid of this idea... I'll finish it in more "tradition" ww2 way... Perhaps I'll keep this style for the "modern-type" planes later...

i didn't understand how to use that "dimensions" generator, but I reworked the said above elements... Still not sure about the main wing though...

Nah, the RAF stuff is easy to do: a lot of information/drawings/images/walkaround high-detailed photoes e.t.c... Unfortunately, Soviet VVS stuff is not... Good material hard like hell to find... And that's frustrating...

Nevermind that, just click the three Tempest links below it and you get images of the actual wing sections at the noted wing locations

    Re: Bentley Tempest drawings

It's always nice to see some Tempests being tackled well - good job Mangas.

I don't do a lot of posting here, but I do a lot of lurking, reading and learning. So I thought, while we're on the subject of one of my favourite aeroplanes, I show you a couple of my own Tempests. They're part of a set I produced last year for the recently published Dalrymple & Verdun Tempest book by Tony Buttler.

There are a few compromises for the purposes of print so I may revisit one or two of these at some time in order to make some that I can print and frame.

    Cheers,
    Mark

Probably a stupid question but is the bottom one a precursor of the Sea Fury?
