I had read that those men were sent by the Egyptian military to remove any ammunition from the site. This was information was supposedly translated by someone else, so I can't say how accurate it is.

Found an article on this. Apparently the pilot's name is known, and has been missing since the war.

The pilot name isn't 100% confirmed and I know Andy hasn't said that it is Copping but he is a likely contender. Typical that the press jump to conclusions.
