FSX P-51 "Red Dog"

Dramatic vertical flight of the beautiful "Red Dog", P-51 Mustang, N514RP, over Chandler, Arizona. Screenshot is from Microsoft FSX flight sim with A2A AccuSim P-51 model.

I have a couple of vertical F-15 and F-16 USAF photo posters framed on the wall, but I've yet to see good one for a P-51 in the vertical. And so, here is a screenshot of what it could look like if they made one. LOL, it might work well as a door poster too.



To get the smooth fuselage panels, I modified the bump map file to flatten out the dimples and wrinkles which was needed to simulate the ultra smooth and high gloss finish of this pristinely restored P-51. Also, a photo of a pilot was pasted into the screenshot to provide additional photorealism.
