Re: Paul-Adalbert Bärwolf - Normandy 1944 - Bf109
19 July 44 - Lt. Paul-Adalbert Bärwolf was shot down and made PoW, he was flying a Bf109G-8, WNr.200046, Yellow 1 of 3./NAGr13.
He was also shot down and unhurt on the 15 June 44. No details for this aircraft. So which one have you got to profile. I know what one I'd go with.

I would consider asking the same question over at LEMB (Link below).

Re: Paul-Adalbert Bärwolf - Normandy 1944 - Bf109
Hi Clint and thanks for your answer. I suppose that the profile will be the G8 yellow 1. I'm waiting some photos from my editor on monday. I will give you the information.
Is someone else have a profile or picture of Adalbert Me Yellow 1 ?
Thanks

Re: Paul-Adalbert Bärwolf - Normandy 1944 - Bf109
I have not seen any that I can recall.
But some more info here on his crashlanding on the 15 June 1944: 3./NAGr13 Bayeux sud, A FJ P47x6 getroffen a, 0 m steig zu 100 m z, FSA BF109G WNr.710091 100 unv, Bärwolf adalbert ltn f FSA zgk ADI/k 373+HW5 515.
I don't know how your German is but from what I think I can make out it happened South of Bayeux, France in a Bf109G and he was bounced by 6 x P-47's?

Re: Paul-Adalbert Bärwolf - Normandy 1944 - Bf109
I've found this in Squadron Signal In Action....Why not a G8 and not a G5 ?
with the yellow 1. It could be the aircraft of Bärwolf ? Thanks

Re: Paul-Adalbert Bärwolf - Normandy 1944 - Bf109
There were very many yellow 1s Wlad so I very much doubt that was Bärwolf's mount. It's got a III Gruppe bar also. Another interesting snippet about Bärwolf is that he was the Luftwaffe reconnaissance pilot who confirmed the allied invasion had begun on the Normandy beaches June 6, 1944.
