Useful books with Luftwaffe Emblems
Two new books on Luftwaffe emblems of which I am sure skinners will find useful.
First by Sinisa Sestanovic is 'Emblems of Jagdwaffe 1936-1945' I found this on Amazon only, and I recieved mine last week and it is totally brilliant! THE most comprehensive reference book for Luftwaffe fighter emblems. Also contains a potted history of each unit. Much new information and amendments
By Barry Ketley is 'Luftwaffe Emblems 1939-1945' also available on Amazon and in myview is the Luftwaffe emblem handbook of choice althoughthe above book is far better for fighters. New book about a month ago and replaces Ketley's work of 1998. 340 odd new insignias.
BTW did you all know that the colour behind the 'enraged giant' of I./JG1 and later IV./JG1 was actually yellow not blue?? Some people need to make some amendments to their files! (info in the Sestanovic book)
