Re: Athlon 64??
Ouch....I bit the bullet and ordered it today. Athlon64 3500+, 200g H/D, 1 gig of RAM and a 256mb Nvidia graphix card. If I cant fly thru the French Alps blowing the snow off the trees with that thing i'll be well annoyed!!

Re: Athlon 64??
Yowza! That machine will not only blow the snow off the trees... it will melt it too! Knowing the hardware you're coming from (and having come up from similar), I know you'll be happy at the performance boost your FS2004 world will see.

Re: Athlon 64??
I have a simlar rig to RAF_Loke's
AMD Athlon Xp 2400+
Asus A7N8X-DLX
1024 MB PC3200 RAM (2-2-2-6)
BBA 9800Pro 128 (400c/710r)

I have no trouble lighten the fires and kickin the the tires, and your new rig will make mine look like its goin backward.
and yes 1GB RAM is most times the min recommended requirments
edit: Loke how did you get a PCIe video card to work on that mobo? That mobo is KT333 chipset, far to old for PCIe.
